FAQs
FAQs
What is Dieselite and how does it differ from standard diesel?
Dieselite is a drop-in alternative to regular diesel, formulated with a significantly higher proportion of second-generation biodiesel, typically between 10% and 30%, compared to up to 7% in standard diesel.
The biodiesel used in Dieselite is produced from certified end-of-life waste feedstocks, while the remainder of the blend is ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD), ensuring full compatibility with all modern diesel engines.
Because of its cleaner formulation, Dieselite delivers meaningful greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions on a well-to-wheel basis, covering emissions from production through to use in the vehicle. It still includes ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD) to ensure full compatibility with all modern diesel engines.
The result is a fuel that performs just like conventional diesel, with no need for vehicle or infrastructure changes while helping fleets reduce emissions and meet environmental targets today.
How can I tell if Dieselite is reducing CO₂ emissions?
Dieselite helps you reduce your carbon footprint from day one. We calculate fuel lifecycle emissions at every stage of production and supply, so you receive transparent and ISCC ceritifed reporting of emissions reductions.
As well as quantified greenhouse gas savings – recorded as tonnes of CO₂ reduced per tonne of fuel supplied – customers receive quarterly renewable fuel declarations that clearly set out ISCC certified feedstock origin, verified sustainability data, and auditable emissions savings.
Its higher content of biodiesel derived from certified, end-of-life waste feedstocks helps lower CO₂ and other harmful emissions compared to standard diesel. This helps you reduce both Scope 1 and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining full operational efficiency.
How does Dieselite compare to traditional diesel in terms of performance?
Dieselite is the same as regular diesel in every sense, but with the added benefit of a higher content of second-generation biodiesel, making it more environmentally friendly. It works in all diesel engines in buses, coaches and HGVs with no modifications or additional equipment, delivering the same power, torque and fuel efficiency.
Will Dieselite impact fuel efficiency?
Dieselite performs exactly like standard diesel with no impact on engine behaviour, fuel economy or reliability and is suitable for year-round use.
What about cold weather performance?
Dieselite has been independently tested for winter fuel performance exceeding the EN590 CFPP minimum temperature of -15°C. It’s guaranteed to deliver consistent high–quality performance, even in winter conditions.
Is switching to Dieselite more expensive?
The cost of Dieselite is comparable to standard diesel.
We give fully transparent pricing with all prices third party verifiable. We also offer flexible supply contracts and proactive stock management to streamline and optimise your operations, potentially delivering greater value for your business.
Is Dieselite compatible with our current vehicles?
Yes. Dieselite is fully compatible with all diesel engines commonly found in buses, coaches, and HGVs. It requires no vehicle modifications or special maintenance, making it a straightforward drop-in replacement for your current fuel.
Will we need to upgrade our depot or refueling infrastructure?
No. Dieselite can be used in your existing fuel storage tanks, pumps, and equipment without any modifications. It fits seamlessly into back-to-base refuelling operations, ensuring a smooth transition with no downtime or additional capital investment.
What if vehicles need to refuel away from base?
Dieselite offers full operational flexibility. It can be safely mixed with standard diesel in any proportion, so if your vehicles refuel on the road with conventional diesel, there are no disruptions and there will be no adverse effects on engine performance or fuel systems.
What is the availability of Dieselite?
Dieselite is supplied as part of a fully managed, industrial-scale fuel operation to offer guaranteed, year-round availability for contracted customers.
With direct pipeline access to Stanlow Refinery and our ownership of a terminal in Cheshire alongside a blending and distribution centre located on the River Thames in Dagenham, you can rely on complete continuity and control over your supply chain.
